The Callia Mixed Media Fine Round has an extended taper creating an extra-fine, elongated point for precise applications of color. Created with an innovative multi-diameter blend of smooth synthetic filaments, the Fine Round allows for controlled flow and color carrying capacity. Due to its ability to hold color in the belly and release with precision, this shape is a favourite of watercolor artists.

The Fine Round shape and Smooth Synthetic blend of filaments allows color and paint to hold in the belly and flow smoothly from the tip. A perfectly balanced handle with six layers of filler, primer, paint and lacquer prevents water from penetrating to the wood. This ensures our handles resist cracking and increases the longevity of your brushes. We use solid brass ferrules which are crimped and meticulously inspected for shape and a scratch-free finish. We offer a fur-free promise, quality materials and tremendous care when designing and manufacturing our brushes!

I recently had the pleasure of meeting Sored Hall by instagram. I was inspired by her virtual teaching methods and engaging personality. Her warmth, approachability and willingness to share are exactly what creates a great art teacher. Her work is also incredible!!! Sored is a self-taught watercolor artist and calligrapher and the creator of Sored Hall Studio. Her journey began by watching other artists create, and eventually she started to take classes online and in person. She attributes her success to practice…a little bit of practice everyday. One of her primary focuses is urban sketches and I asked her why, “It is a very good way to get to know a place and the best way to practice new painting techniques. Buildings mixed with nature are my jam. I am also a faith based artist, this is how I started my calligraphy journey, writing about my faith using beautiful strokes has helped me be more connected with my beliefs and I love to share this with the world.” Sored is multi-talented and paints a great number of beautiful subjects found around the world and in nature.
